The small fishing village of La Caleta is just a short drive from many popular holiday resorts in Tenerife. La Caleta has some of the best seafood restaurants on the island. It is located on the south west coast of Tenerife, not far from Costa Adeje, which is about an hour’s walk away for those who like to stay active on holiday.
There are no real sandy beaches in La Caleta. There are some stunning beaches beyond the mountains to the side of La Caleta, but you can’t access them by road. The paths are steep in some places, so remember to bring sensible shoes.
Los Morteros beach is a rocky cove with many spots where you can jump into the sea.

When checking out excursions, if you are based in the resort of La Caleta, be aware that many excursion companies pick up from your hotel in the popular resorts. Many of the cheaper trips, including the free trips, require you to make your own way there or to the nearest pick up point.
