Tenerife Carp Fishing Experience Take a tip up the mountains in San Miguel for a relaxing half day carp fishing. There are many reservoirs up in the mountains, heavily stocked with fish, including, common carp, mirror carp, grass carp and freshwater bass. Sizes range from around a pound to over 30. You can be picked up outside your boat, hotel or Tenerife apartment, taken to the reservoir and everything will be provided for you, including tackle and bait.
The carp fishing option is not available at the moment. Keen anglers have been waiting for some time for the new owners to make a decision as to whether they will continue with fishing.
That basically leaves you with 3 options: Fishing for fun, shore or boat or the more extreme sport fishing for those who are physically able – and very little in between.
Keen anglers will no doubt enjoy the Sports Fishing trips, going for the really big fish while novices to fishing will enjoy the boat trips offering fishing, but to be honest, these are little more than dangling a rod in the water and hoping for the best. There are many options for fishing from the dock or harbour – remember you need a licence for this type of fishing – it’s relaxing and in the right places, with the right bait, it’s fairly easy to catch fish.
Shore Fishing
For the experience angler who doesn’t want to go for sport fishing, there is very little fishing offered in Tenerife.
Sadly The Carp Pit has closed and the consensus of local anglers is that Gran Canaria is a better choice.

Away from the heat of the summer is a prefect a time to get into comfortable clothes and visit the bustling markets of North and South Tenerife.
You should always try bargaining, especially with leather goods. It may well work – you have fun buying, and with luck you’ll have managed to save your pennies. By the way, if you find yourself getting tired, find a fruit stand to recharge.

Probably the most well know market in the South of the island. Offers Fashion, Craft, Gift, Jewellery, decorations, Houseware, Toys, Leather, and a wide range of novelty products.
It is usually crowded and haggling is common, especially on leather goods.

Adventure Hunt Los Abrigos has been expanded to 18 clues! It’s a compact route, around 1km, with plenty of bars and restaurants to take a break at when it’s hot.
Costa Adeje
The Costa Adeje Adventure Hunt takes in the boardwalks and areas around the waterfront from Playa El Bobo to Playa Fanabe. The amazing views in this area make a great backdrop to our Costa Adeje Adventure Hunt.
You can choose between the standard route with 21 clues spread over 2.6km or the extended route with 35 clues spread over 4.5km. You should allow 1-2 hours for the standard route or 2-3 hours for the extended route.
A family route is also available suitable for children aged 8-12 when accompanied by one or more adults. The clues are a little less cryptic in the family Adventure Hunt and the hints are a little more helpful.
El Medano
The El Medano Adventure Hunt takes in the popular areas of El Medano, taking you past many of the popular restaurants and viewing points in the town. The amazing views of Montaña Roja and the El Medano bay make a great backdrop to our El Medano Adventure Hunt.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)
Not everyone has the time to book a course without first getting a taste of scuba diving. We offer try diving programs for non-certified divers. You will be under our guidance and follow the highest of safety standards.
The difference between these experience programs and a PADI Diving Course is that, after completion, you do not receive a diving license, but you can repeat the programs as many times you want, and will always be accompanied by a PADI Professional. Cotton is golf’s ultimate ‘hands’ man, an unrepentant iconoclast who relentlessly insists: (a) that the ever-growing accent on body action is at best wrongheaded and at worst physically injurious and (b) that there is no way mechanically to program and fundamentalize the golf swing, at least insofar as the average mortal is concerned.
In proclaiming that the key to sound and long-lasting golf lies in the condition and actions of the hands, Cotton does not deny that other methods work – simply that the hands method, once mastered is the easiest, most effective, and longest lasting.
The only really adamant stance he takes is against the concept that the golf swing can be mechanically standardized – a position borne of his own failure to do just that after one of the greatest single efforts in history to accomplish such a goal.
Golf is an individual game and will ever be so, whilst human beings vary in physique. The thoroughness with which American golfers have analysed golf in an attempt to find ‘the secret’ has further convinced me there is no secret.

WHY DID THE GROOVES DISAPPEAR FROM GOLF DRIVERS IN THE LATE 1990’s ?????
What a thought!? No grooves on the face of a golf driver? !?!?!
That was the golf industries response when the V Project suggested this to them. The IMG backed golf product accessing project V Project stated clearly that grooves were on little use and a smooth face would give golfers an instant straighter and longer driver. Which eventually the golf industry took on board.
It wasn’t new technology though! Oh no, the rules of golf had it covered in the original rules of the game, the face shall be smooth…..
I learnt the smooth face from caddying for the late great Christy O’connor, who would have his driver revert back to the old rules smooth face by applying araldite into the grooves and sanding the face smooth with emery paper. It kept the ball straighter and lower trajectory in windy weather.
So naturally, heading up the six year V Project I brought that to the table early on.
Sadly the V Project couldn’t protect the change by patent, but it was a nice gift to change golfers games all around the world.

Make sure you choose the right tour operator and the type of trip that’s right for you. Ocean Tours have a number of great options to see whales and dolphins. They also have an excellent reputation.
That’s an easy one. Tenerife has a great climate all year round, especially in the South so any time is good for seeing whales and Dolphins.
If you don’t see whales on your trip you are either extremely unlucky or you chose the wrong boat trip. It’s said that you will see whales 99% of the time. Of course you could be forgiven for thinking it’s all about the dolphins but that has more to do with marketing than anything else.
In truth you are more likely to see whales than dolphins but the chances are still pretty good, estimated at roughly 60%. Again, choose you trip carefully. Take a smaller boat and avoid the party cruises. Trust me there is nothing more annoying than peacefully watching dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water only to see them frightened off by a boat full of alcohol laden party-makers with loud music.
‘Fraid not. Strictly forbidden. Also bear in mind that if you are offered something privately on the cheap, you need to be very careful that they have all the proper licences in place. If you get caught out it’s fines all round. In Tenerife it’s taken very seriously. And ‘I didn’t know’ won’t work!
If you want a close encounter with dolphins, there are water parks where you can do this. If you love the idea of interacting with Tenerifes marine life then snorkeling may be a good choice for you.
